5 Trends Under $30

As we near the start of October, we kick our fall fashions into high gear and pack away our summer memories until next year. Being a teen, shopping for clothes can be uneasy with a strict budget. Here I have 5 new hot trends that are below $30 to help you out this school year!

(The paragraphs numbers correspond with the numbers on the pictures below)

     1) This shirt I bought from Wet Seal. Not only is it a baseball tee shirt, which is sort of like a flow top but with fitted sleeves that cover up to just below your bicep, but it also states three of the top fashion cities of the world, London, New York, and Milan. This shirt is is super cute and can go with dark jeans or black!
     2) This shirt is also from Wet Seal. It's super chic with its thin, gauzy material and it's mysterious not at the front. This is definitely one of those shirts you'd wear to a haunted hay ride or a Saturday night party.
     3) This is another baseball tee. These shirts are just like flow tops and are 100% in style this season! Plus, the geometric design is eye catching and really stylish. Pair these with some dark jeans and boots and you have the ideal outfit for school, everybody will be stopping you in the halls. I got this shirt at Bob's Store
     4) This belt is one of my favorites! I got it from Amuse, in my local mall, and it goes with almost every shirt I own! This belt's silvery color adds an element to your outfit and makes it less boring. It also comes in many other colors such as broze, gold, blue, blue and gold, and soft pink. You can't live without one of these!
     5) These jeans I got from Hollister are perfect for any day, and any activity. You may already be wearing jeans every day but especially when you're wearing flow tops, letting the back pockets show adds a cool extra to the outfit, since it's pockets have a fun, unique design!

Have fun exploring what you can find for cheap and stylish! If you find anything you love feel free to email thechiclizard@gmail.com or make a comment!

Fine Fall Fashions

Fall; football games, haunted houses, sleepover, apple cider, school sporting events, what's not to love about this season? And although sweatpants and a sweatshirt seems like the only option when your watching your school's football team Friday night, there are some way better options on night's that aren't so cold. Let's take advantage of the warm weather while we have it! Whether you're headed to school or to your best friend's house for a weekend party, staying in style is key, no matter how tempting it gets to just wear your pajamas to school! Let's save those for those Friday night games when the weather is nippy.
I've mentioned this before but especially now that school has started, flow tops are the best tops. (Hint: Forever 21 is the best place to get them, especially now!) They don't just make your body look good but they are the best trend out there besides skinny jeans! Everybody's wearing them, it's essential to have at least one! Pair up your new flow top with a nice pair of skinny jeans! Flow tops match perfectly with skinny jeans like peanut butter matches perfectly to jelly. Plus, it creates a stylish and cute look! Now, we can't just walk around barefoot, can we? Of course not! Especially not at the beginning of boot season! Find a pair of nice boots, calf high, ankle, biker boots, fringe, anything that goes! Your outfit will be complete and you will be getting "Where did you get this from?" questions all day long!

Fall-Fabulous Ideas

With the fiery leaves starting to crisp and fall, and the weather beginning to get breezy, we pack away all our bright, eccentric summer colors and patterns and say hello to fall! I've mentioned numerous times that color is what can make or break an outfit. However, during the season of fall, neutrals are more the thing to go with the scenery. You know, grays, blacks, creams, and even some pink is great for fall and school! In addition, the weather is starting to get a little breezier and chillier. Sending away our short sleeves isn't always the easiest thing to do but there are so many marvelous winter shirts on the racks now! And, fall is tricky, it can be hot or cold. Well, I found a three quarter sleeve shirt! Push up the sleeves when it's hot, leave them down like a sweater when it's cold. It's something I can wear from fall to spring! The best, part it's also a flow top! It hangs loosely off the chest creating a chic look that is in. And it's gray! Pair it with some capirs and Sperry's and it's an outfit! I suggest taking a trip to Hollister where I found my top, they have it in many different colors and neutrals!

This is the shirt I bought. (Don't mind the wrinkles)

Fall Fashions: What's In and What's Out With Jeans and Shoes

Fall is slowly creeping up. Pack away your bikinis and flip-flops, it's jean season! This year, to come along with fall colors and neutrals, boots are the new hot thing. This fashion really broke out last winter but it's carrying over! I have 5 fashion do's and don'ts for you when picking out your outfits with jeans and boots and other shoes this fall.

1) DO wear skinny jeans with calf high boots. Skinny jeans are the hot thing, everybody's wearing them, duh! Well, this style fits perfectly into calf high boots, and create a great look. Pair them with a flow top or a knit sweater on top.

2) DON'T tuck ANY boots into flare jeans. Over the years, flare jeans have made their way out of the fashion world. Well, they're back. Heads up though, they're only for the taller chicks. Whenever you wear flare jeans, don't ever tuck any type of boot whether it's a 3 layer fringe or Uggs. With these jeans not being so tight, when you tuck them in, which will be difficult in the first place, it looks wishy-washy and not put together. No one wants that.

3) DO wear ankle boots with skinny jeans. Ankle boots are just another great style of boots. Although calf high boots look the best with skinny jeans, ankle boots are a close second. Again, the jeans tuck perfectly into the boots and create a chic style everyone will die for.

4) DON'T wear shoes without a heel with flare jeans. Flare jeans are meant for the taller girls now. Wearing something like an ankle boot that you don't tuck in or just a basic wedge will make the outfit look great and cool! However, wearing flats with jeans ruin the look that makes you look as tall as you are, making you look shorter. And as I said, flare jeans are NOT for shorter girls.

5) DO wear flats with jeggings. Wearing flats with flare jeans isn't a smart move but with jeggings, it looks fabulous! Not every shoe you wear with jeans is going to look great with jeggings but flats do! It creates a sleek look for you and adding the perfect shirt to the mix sums it up!

Take these rules into consideration, we all want to look hot this year, right?

Fabulous Fall Jewelry

Jewelry and accessories are a great part of an outfit. They can make or break an outfit. This year, neons and rubber bracelets are out. The new look is teal, silver and gold, for a more mature and fashionable look. I have five pieces of jewelry, to give you some ideas on what great accessories you want for fall this year!

1) Necklaces with animals and symbols are a great way to go. They create a mature yet mysterious and chic look. Whether it's an owl or the Eiffel Tower, a great necklace is eye catching and fashionable too!

2) Bangles are another great accessory. There are so many colors to choose from! Well let me be the first to tell you that you can kiss the oranges and yellows goodbye and eliminate them while picking a few out. Why? Colors like that clash with outfits and it makes you look non-collected. I do love color, but color means having flowers on your blouse not neon skinny jeans. When choosing which one of these Indian bracelets you like, choose silver, it goes with almost everything!

3) Dangling earrings can add a lot to an outfit, depending on what you're wearing. However, sometimes simpler is better. If you're sporting a blouse then don't wear a pair of your cutest silver hoops! It takes away from the shape of the blouse rather than adding something that it would add to a flow top, per say. Something like little diamonds, or even tiny little bows, will do just fine and look super cute!

4) Bracelets and flow tops are like peanut butter and jelly, a perfect pair. However, the fad of big breast cancer bracelets is out. Something like a charm bracelet from pandora or a tiny silver little bracelet of any style is a better, more mature, look. It adds a chic element to the outfit.

5) Starting into middle school is the start of some more mature jewelry, like rings. Again, using the amazing colors of gold and silver, there are rings out there dying to get with an outfit! Pick out a medium sized ring that's, of course, gold and silver for an outfit of yours this year. With rings, abstract styles like a funky twist of a dotted oval are the best choice. See who you attract this year!

Find your forte in jewelry and what will help you spice up a great outfit! You'll be cool, chic, and unstoppable!

This bracelet is made specially.

Cute Capris

The beginning of September is that awkward time where it's too cold for shorts but too warm for jeans. Therefore, it's the perfect time for capris! Denim capris with a rolled up cuff are the way to go this fall. Why? Because this style goes with any winter or summer shirt hence, your options have widened. Cuffed capris are always in style and they look great with a flow top for school! The best place to get capris like these is Aeropostle. They're form fitting and have many different shades and colors. Until the weather gets chillier, pick out a nice set of capris to go with all those fab shirts you just bought for school!

Both of these capris that go down to
three inches above the ankle are form Aeropostle.

5 Fall Fashions Not to Wear

All this time I've only told you what great trends you should be wearing but not what you shouldn't. I have five fashion "trends" that you don't want to go near for this school year! Take a look to avoid a fashion embarrassment this year!

1) Don't ever mix two different patterns. Most of you already know this but mixing two different patterns like floral and stripes causes confusion and makes your outfit way too busy. Not to mention that most patterns don't clash with another pattern well at all.

2) Stay away from loose jeans. Although some people like looser jeans better than the feel of skinny jeans, loose jeans look messy. They tend to look baggy and unorganized, making the buyer look like a mess! Skinny jeans are really the way to go, they are the biggest trend but if you're a tall girlie than you can also wear flare jeans with some heel boots underneath.

3) Never wear orange and brown together. There are a lot of colors that go perfectly together, brown and orange is not one of them. Those two colors create a dark combination and make you seem gloomier than you really are, instead of trendy and full of happiness and color! Just be careful, too much color can make the outfit look childish and will ruin it.

4) Don't wear checkers. Patterns like checkers are not the way to go. Checkers look very confusing and are defiantly not a trend! Flowers are a more mature pattern and look cleaner and prettier.

5) Don't add to much neon to an outfit. It's fine to wear a neon t-shirt to gym class but neon is really for the lower grades, girls. Wearing neon in a regular outfit is too bright and often doesn't pair well with many other articles of clothing. Color is great but that means a pink blazer, not a neon yellow flow shirt!

Use these tips to help you stay in style instead of out of it this year! You'll look great!
