Summer Must Haves

What's "the look" for this summer? You know, the thing everyone is wearing, the "must have"? I'll tell you, it's shorts and a scoop neck. Now, now, let's not get too excited- it's not that simple. We're not talking any shorts and scoop necks. I'm talking high wasted shorts-in any color- (highly recommended the ones with three buttons going down in two columns in the middle area) and a cropped scoop neck, so only a sliver of your mid section is revealed. Keep in mind the shirt is tight, not any crop top. Complete your outfit with matching Keds or Vans Off the Walls! And as a bonus, tie a section of your hair back fastened with a bow, a new trend that's continuing to blossom! Enjoy this great look that even the celebrities are showing!

You can't go wrong with denim shorts during summer, whether it's a tank and some high waists or low waisted and a tee! However, on those nights along the pier going to a semi-fancy restaurant, you're mind tells you that you want to change it up! Trade in a normal shirt for a denim vest and pair it with a matching blue or pink skirt so when the ocean breeze hits you it gives just the right amount of flow to your style! Plus, they pair together like peanut butter and jelly! Try tying your hair up with a bow and pairing it up with some Keds or Vans Off the Wall for the perfect outfit!

Sweet Summer Style

How do you go from ratty camp clothes to dinner by the beach? What's considered 'traffic stopping', in a good way of course! Don't settle for classic blue denim this year, and be a little risky by trying high wasted shorts! (P.S. American flag designs on shorts, scarfs, shoes, and shirts are VERY in this year) Also, keep tank tops in mind this summer, slip a cute bandeau underneath it to stay cool without slipping! Pair it with some dark colored shorts or some perky pastel high wastes! Give yourself a treat and shop for an outfit and some noticeable jewelry to go along!

Pretty and Punky

 Along with flowers and lace, a different look is starting to pop up more and more as we go along with time. Or should i say, it starting to pop back up. This Summer, add some punk to your shopping list. You'll see in nearby stores, they're starting to stock up on tank tops sporting our favorite brands and people such as Pink Floyd, Star Wars, Care Bears Metallica,  Elmo, Coke, and Transformers. Not only will it catch the common eye, but it makes you stand out and depending on what you decide to get on your tank top, it'll say something about your personality.
 Not only are we expressing our inner selves through our tops but also in the bottom. A new trend appearing is the American flag. Whether it's in your shoes, vest, or shorts, you're patriotic glow is a good choice! Grab some denim shorts with faded starts or a striped denim vest to match your new tank this summer.
 Summer is the time of flip flops but while we're still in spring, add some rhinestones or spikes to your shoes, something different and unexpected! Your bound to catch eyes and you'll look great and unique!

Step Into Spring

Spring is finally here! With the warm weather comes new fashion styles we must have for spring. I'm here to give you five articles you have to have in order to look great. 

1. High waisted jeans or shorts- We're bringing back the early 1900's style but with a classic twist. High wasted jeans/shorts will get everyone's attention, being a break from the ordinary look. Pair it up with a crop top or a fun tank and a nice pair of sandals or classic white converse. 
2. Lace- Lace, lace, lace. This elegant pattern is maneuvering it's way into our every ay lives- TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! Lace looks great with denim and comes in a variety of colors and shirt styles, add some to your closet.
3. Mint Green- Mint green? Yes! Whether it's a crop tank, jeans, or just on your nails, mint green is definitely a new trend that's starting to pop up everywhere! The light color goes great with spring itself and looks pretty on every hair or skin color- what's not to like about this soft pigment? 
4. Colored jeans/capris- denim is perfect, of course, but adding a little more color every once in a while is a good thing! Try Hollister- filled with different colored jeans as well as many different patterns! I would only wear colored once a week though- you don't want to overdose!
5. Silver jewelry- Pandora bracelets, a shiny new necklace, or a small ring- silver goes hand in hand with spring! Add a little something something to your outfit by adding a little shimmer and a fun accessory!

Sweet New Year

This year, bold and eccentric is coming in to style! We're trading regular denim for tie dye jeans, sweatshirts for leather jackets and little gold chains for big necklaces! Go bolder with your style this year and be sure to step outside of your comfort zone to try something new. Change up your style with something like a leather jacket; it provides a an edgier look, something a little different. I suggest looking in Forever 21, where I got my own. They have a variety of colors and different styles. They come from mint green to purple! Colors are coming back even bolder than last year and this is the perfect way to show them off. If leather isn't your style, try something like polka dot jeans of a denim jacket. Go bolder this year. :)
